Natural High Protein Buffalo Jerky

Jerky Direct Jerky

Beef jerky is the most common type of jerky there is. This type of jerky has for a long time been prepared the same way by different people. In the olden days, people would just dry the meat and the jerky was ready once it was completely dry. However, today, people prefer to add some preservatives and flavors to make the jerky tastier. This is possible with beef jerky because it goes very well with most of the flavorings. However, there are people who still eat the beef jerky without additional flavors since the beef has a high quality flavor on its own even without flavor addition.

The other type of jerky we have is the chicken turkey. Chicken Jerky is not common among many people. This is probably because the process takes longer and you need to be extra careful which part of the chicken you want to use to make jerky. Most people pick the breast of the chicken since it contains less fat. They trim off the fat and cut the meat into small sizes in order to speed up the dehydration. The process is the same with beef jerky. However chicken jerky requires flavors since it is not as good without added flavors.

Buffalo jerky is also a type of jerky that is not common for many people. The process of making buffalo jerky is similar to that of beef jerky. However, extra care should be taken when trimming the fat since buffalo meat has too much fat that may slow down the dehydration process.
